DQ's 'must do' event for Island's financial sector
Island law firm DQ hosts a major tax investigation conference for local financial services firms in Douglas on Friday (11 September).
DQ Advocates has partnered with law firm Latham & Watkins to stage what's billed as a 'must attend' event for senior managers and directors in the sector.
Delegates will hear advice from a panel of UK and US experts on how to deal with a tax or criminal investigation by global enforcement agencies.
Organisers are promising to focus on the proactive steps companies can take to avoid facing an official investigation in the first place.
The conference at the Villa Marina will offer insights into the work of HMRC investigators, with sessions on FATCA and AML enforcement.
There'll also be a talk by a fraud expert.
