BCS hosts technological think-tank
The latest thinking on open data and open government, and the power of technology to advance both, will be shared at a conference in Douglas this weekend (30 July).
The Island branch of the British Computer Society is hosting the event in the Tynwald library between 10am and 5pm, and it's open to all.
A line-up of speakers will offer international perspectives on the social and commercial value of open data.
There'll also be discussions and pitch sessions with established and start-up blockchain technology firms - some eyeing-up business opportunities here.
The event's for tecchies, data specialists and all who want to find out more about ambitions for open government in the Island.
