Consultation launched on tackling bribery and corruption

Views wanted on draft strategy to tackle the issues

Views are being sought on how residents and business on the Isle of Man respond to threats of bribery and corruption.

A public consultation has been launched by the Cabinet Office.

The aim, government says, is to gather feedback on the draft anti-bribery and corruption strategy.

The document outlines an Island plan for protecting Island people as well as how communities can also play a role in preventing issues.

Government says it's vision is to help people know bribery or corruption when they see it; have clear and confidential channels for reporting it and having 'robust' responses in place.

Cabinet Office Minister, Kate Lord-Brennan, says this consultation is essential to ensuring the draft strategy can meet these objectives.

Views on the matter can be submitted on the online government consultation hub until 19 April.

The consultation can be found HERE.
