Isle of Man Creamery has shown it's a big cheese in Britain, by winning an award for one of its products.
The company, based in Tromode, picked up a Bronze medal at this year’s British Cheese Awards in Cardiff, for its Oak Smoked Mature Cheddar.
A panel of 60 top industry experts judged 900 entries from 190 cheesemakers this year, and complimented the Manx cheese which is smoked over oak chips in a specially designed kiln.
The Creamery’s managing director Findlay Macleod says winning the medal is a tribute to the craft and dedication of the firm's cheesemakers.
