Deadline for corporate taxpayers looming

Midnight on January 4 the deadline

Government says corporate taxpayers should remember the effective final deadline for submission of income tax returns for accounting periods ended December 31, 2014, is midnight on January 4, 2016.

The due date is January 1, 2016, but as the Income Tax Division is closed from the first to the third of the month inclusive, returns won't be considered late as long as the fully completed form is submitted by midnight on the fourth.

People are encouraged to consider submitting their return online by registering at  gov.im/onlineservices.

Online filing is compulsory for corporate income tax returns for accounting periods ending on or after April 5, 2015.

The Income Tax Division says if a corporate taxpayer is late submitting their income tax return they may be liable to a £250 penalty.
