Efforts to foster new business saluted
Manx Fintech successes have been recognised with a prestigious international industry award.
Fintech Finance is an online magazine widely received on a global scale, as a reference guide for start-ups and investors.
Its annual awards ceremony event took place at the Excel Centre in London this week (8 Dec) where the Isle of Man Government's Department of Economic Development picked up the 'Region of the Year Award'.
The department was running as a finalist against Ireland and Malaysia's equivalent services, also tasked with druming-up private sector enterprise.
The man who applied for it on behalf of the DED is head of e-Business Operations Brian Donegan - he says it's a new milestone for the sector here:
Strike off process against companies with out-of-date information starts
Payroll firm reprimanded after thousands of personal records discovered in abandoned shredding bins
Local food van 'disappointed' not to be visiting Castletown after offering 42 dates
