Digital Isle of Man appoint Head of Esports

Chris Kissack to take up new role in August

Digital Isle of Man, an Executive Agency within the Department for Enterprise, has appointed a 'Head of Esports'.

Chris Kissack, previously esports specialist at Amber Gaming, will undertake the role - the first of its kind within government.

Lyle Wraxall, CEO of the Digital Agency, said "It was vital that we found the right candidate to drive forward this new and exciting venture for the Island."

"Chris’ experience in the sector, expert knowledge, and enthusiasm for our esports proposition made him a perfect fit for the role."

Mr Kissack has experience protecting esports player's benefits, managing prize pool distribution and advising clietns on their new esports offerings.

Ted Pepper of Amber Gaming described Chris as 'instrumental' in establishing the company's position within the global esports community.

On his upcoming position, Mr Kissack says he is looking forward to 'raising the Island's profile within the esports space.'

"My time at Amber has been a very positive experience and I very grateful to both Ted and the team for giving me the opportunity to help them create the Island’s first dedicated service offerings for the esports industry."

Chris is due to start at the Digital Agency on 3 August, and will be working towards launching the esports proposition both on-island and to an international audience.
