Distillery plans for garage
A Manx drinks company has applied for permission to transform a former vehicle workshop into a distillery and tasting room.
Seven Kingdoms says it wants to set up operations at Banks Circus on Lake Road in Douglas, next door to the Railway pub.
In a planning application, the company says its aim is to produce Manx gin, vodka, whisky and rum and will provide tours and education programmes for visitors.
The distillery would normally open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, although Seven Kingdoms says subject to licensing, its tasting room may open for events during the evenings.
You can find out more about the application on the government’s website gov.im.
