The 'big picture' views of a visiting senior global economist attracted a large audience of financial services professionals in Douglas, 22 October.
Global head of Equity Strategy at Barclay's Will Hobbs addressed an audience of around 140 at a lunchtime briefing for the Isle of Man Association of Corporate Service Providers.
Mr Hobbs told delegates a sustained global recovery is underway both in the US and Europe, weighing consumer debt against assets.
He said in the long term that offers the financial services industry cause for optimism:
