Acquisition of Hong Kong firm
A Douglas company is hoping to bolster its links with both France and China at the same time, with the acquisition of a firm in Hong Kong.
Trust and corporate services provider Equiom has announced it's taken over Equation HK Limited.
It follows the establishment of Equiom Hong Kong last year - which now employs around 50 staff.
Equation, which has been running since 2010, provides legal, administrative and compliance advice to firms operating across the region.
Equiom CEO Sheila Dean said she's 'very happy' about the merger, and believes it will create an 'unrivalled market position within the French speaking community of Hong Kong'.
