A leading authority in marketing will give a controversial lecture in Douglas this evening (Thursday), arguing the profession is at an all-time low!
Malcolm McDonald is Emeritus Professor at the Cranfield University School of Management and has written more than 40 books on the subject.
He says marketing is more a science than an art, and many of those who practise are simply not professional enough or properly qualified.
Professor McDonald has been been invited by the Island's Chartered Institute of Marketing and will address business leaders at the Manx Museum.
He says everyone employed in marketing needs to sharpen their focus:
Techstars Startup event to take place in July
Creamery working to solve the mystery of tight screw caps on cartons
Regulator investigates potential Manx Radio licence compliance issue
Investigation underway after customers report milk carton difficultiesÂ
