Tim Cowin of Dalrymple Associates has been elected a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Mr Cowin, a chartered mechanical engineer and professional project manager with the Ramsey-based construction consultancy, has been an IMechE member for 20 years, and says he has been working towards achieving Fellowship status all his working life.
FIMechE is the highest level of elected membership and is awarded only to individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to and innovation in mechanical engineering.
The consultancy's principal, Keith Dalrymple, said: "Receiving the institution's highest grade is recognition of Tim's tireless pursuit of excellence in what is a dynamic industry, with much to contribute to the Island's economy."
The Institution of Mechanical Emgineers is the fastest growing professional engineering institution in the United Kingdom, with a 160-year heritage and around 80,000 members.
