DED hosts sector wise-up sessions
The DED's annual Tourism Industry Day drew a packed house of delegates at the Villa Marina this week (28 Feb).
Hoteliers, cafe owners, tour operators and others involved in the hospitality industry took time out to attend the event, which included workshops on online booking trends and social media use.
There was also an opportunity for attendees to improve their networking skills and comment on the DED's plans to develop the market and grow the Island's visitor numbers.
Keirron Tastagh from Adventurous Experiences says there was a great mix of people and the event was well organised:
New child employment rules come into force
Tourist tax would be 'wrong move at the wrong time', says Douglas hotelier
Diesel price increases 'could put some taxi drivers out of business'
Interim census 'important for business as well as government'
