Island is world leader, says author
Leading international buiness magazine Forbes is praising the Manx 'tech ecosystem'.
It says the Isle of Man is thriving in the global IT sector, steadily developing above and beyond the world-leading standards of London City.
Forbes says industry here builds on 'traditional successes in finance', as well as diversification into eGaming - creating a number of new high-tech clusters.
It cites organisations like Manx Telecom's 'Vannin Ventures' incubator, Isle of Media, the Manx BioMed Cluster, and the general eBusiness sector as the most successful on Island so far.
Government invested around £4.5 million in local enterprise last year, along with a further £50 million towards an Enterprise Development Scheme for startups.
