Sefton Express marks decade of service
A hotel at the practical end of the Island's hospitality sector has marked its 10th anniversary.
In style - but in keeping with its functional raison d'etre - without too much fuss.
The Sefton Express by the airport has served more than 80,000 clients over the past decade, from executives flying in to sign business contracts, to local families positioning themselves for a stress-free start to early morning flight.
Occupancy of the 32 room hotel fluctuates through the year - with a stampede for rooms when are flights are cancelled in bad weather, and increasingly among road race fans, keen to stay on the Billown circuit's doorstep.
A reception at the hotel last week saw glasses raised to the success of the Sefton Group's southern outpost, with former chief minister and Castletown MHK Tony Brown, and members of the Southern 100 Motorcycle Club among the guests.
