A Manx Telecom worker who submitted an idea for the company’s staff suggestion scheme got a surprise when managing director Chris Hall popped round to her desk.
He presented Vickie Murphy with a night for two at the Sefton Hotel after she submitted the firm’s 100th suggestion.
Mr Hall says the scheme was revamped in 2007 under the name INNOV8 and gets an average of eight suggestions a month.
Anyone with an idea manages the proposal themselves, and is given a financial reward based on revenue gained or costs saved a year after it’s implemented.
