Grandstand Wi-Fi improved after Sure investment

Boost for TT fans

A local telecoms provider says Wi-Fi speeds at the TT Grandstand have improved this year, after the company linked the facility to its fibre network.

Sure's engineers dug 1km of trenching at the end of April, the firm says, as part of its investment in business-to-business fibre-optic infrastructure.

Sure - which has been the official telecommunications partner for the Isle of Man TT for the last 12 years - says the upgrade will allow thousands of people to use sponsored Wi-Fi at the Grandstand for uploading videos and photos to social media, and to keep up-to-date with the live timings and the results via the TT app.
