The new lieutenant governor is warning the Isle of Man isn't immune from the fallout from the global financial crisis, but he is also offering to assist its development as a financial centre in any way he can.
Adam Wood has spoken to representatives from the Island's media for the first time since being formally installed as the Queen's representative, a week ago.
His Excellency says he is delighted the Manx government has opened an office in Brussels, and he would be more than happy to be used as a sounding board when it comes to improving international contacts:
