Helping hand for GCSE maths students

The Isle of Man College has some welcome news for students who took a GCSE in maths but missed out on a C grade in one of the modules.

A 10-week course has been set up, starting on September 15.

It's being taken by Helen Norton, a very experienced GCSE maths teacher who wants to help people get that magic C grade.

The resit dates are on the afternoon of November 8 for paper one and the morning of November 14 for paper two.

Anyone interested can go along to the college reception for more details.

Meanwhile, there is some concern about the A2 law course at the Isle of Man College, with some people worrying that it's not going ahead.

The college says it is happening, and starts on Monday, September 12, from 6pm to 9pm.

It is aimed at students who have AS Law from AQA and want to get the full A-level qualification, and runs until TT practice week next year.

The course is on from 5pm to 8pm, with further information again available at the college.
