Hoardings plan for former library

Food outlet seeks planning for ads

A building in the centre of the capital will go from books to cooks – if planners give the green light.

James Thompson of Glencrutchery Road in Douglas has applied to put advertising hoardings on the former Henry Bloom Noble Library on Victoria Street.

The signs, advertising Herrons Country Fried Chicken, would be on the ground floor of the building which housed Douglas Council’s library before it moved to its current home on Duke Street.

You can find out more about the application on the government’s website gov.im
