Impending FATCA the buzz at PwC tax conference

 

Accountancy firm PWC is hosting its annual tax conference this week - an opportunity for some thinking time away from the office and a chance to reflect on the big issues facing the profession.

A panel from the company will offer thought leadership on the way changes to the UK tax system and external pressures are impacting the Isle of Man.

Many local companies from the financial services sector - property firms, banks, insurers and corporate service providers - will be represented in the invited audience at the Sefton Hotel. 

Key speaker at the event which begins at 8am on Wednesday 20 May, will be Isle of Man Government Assessor of Income Tax Nicola Guffogg.

Tax partner at PwC Kevin Cowley told Marian Kenny there will be much talk around the FATCA agreement the Island has signed with the UK and United States, which will come into force on 1 July:
