Charity chosen in memory of former CoC president
The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce has made a significant donation to a local charity.
It chose to give the money raised at its recent 60th anniversary gala dinner, £2,350, to Cruse Bereavement Care.
The charity was chosen in memory of the late Mike Henthorn, a former president of the chamber and a great supporter of both organisations.
The cheque was presented to Cruse by the chamber's chief executive, Jane Dellar, and outgoing president Michael Crowe.
The gala dinner marked the end of Mr Crowe's two-year tenure as president, as he formally handed over the chain of office to Micky Swindale.
