The Gambling Supervision Commission says the submission is comprehensive
The Isle of Man has taken a major step in preparation for its planned MONEYVAL assessment later this year.
It’s completed its written effectiveness submission.
The Gambling Supervision Commission has described this as ‘the most critical component’ of the mutual evaluation.
“The Isle of Man stands ready to demonstrate the strength and resilience of its AML/CFT framework and its ability to respond to a complex and evolving risk environment.” Gambling Supervision Commission
It follows the submission of the Island's Technical Compliance Questionnaire to the MONEYVAL Secretariat in March this year.
The submission follows significant ongoing work to strengthen the Island's regulatory frameworks.
This is alongside a co-ordinated effort, across the public and private sectors, to collate and analyse substantial volumes of data.
