Island firms saluted at IFC awards

 

Island based Cains Advocates has been named Law Firm of the Year at the International Financial Centre Awards 2015.

Cains was praised for innovation, expertise and service by an international panel of practitioners judging the awards, sponsored by Citywealth.

The event recognises advisors and managers in the private wealth sectors of jurisdictions including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Jeremy Walton, head of Cains Private Client department said: “I know other short listed Manx firms have been working very hard to raise the international profile of the Isle of Man and so it is very pleasing to win this award against such strong competition.”

 

The runner-up was Douglas law firm Dougherty Quinn. 

The title Investment Management Company of the Year in the Isle of Man went to Cannacord Genuity Wealth Management, the runner-up was Creechurch Capital.
