A Manx development company is being been dubbed the 'White Knight of the Wirral' after it was given the go-ahead to invest £4.5 billion in Birkenhead's docklands.
The Peel Group will completely transform the derelict area, next to the 12 Quays ferry terminal the Steam Packet ferries use in winter.
