Keystone opens new Belfast office

Expansion after merger with established NI firm

Keystone Law, which recently marked its first anniversary in the Isle of Man, has a presence in Northern Ireland for the first time, after a commercial merger was agreed with Belfast firm McMahon McKay

The new entity Keystone Law (NI) will work closely with the Manx office on a range of issues and clients.

The practice will operate from its current office in Adelaide Street where founders John McMahon and Danny McKay will continue to own and control the firm.

The new business will operate the Keystone model, with access to the firm's resources and support, including 230 lawyers in the in the UK and colleagues in the Isle of Man.

Keystone managing partner James Knight said: "We have been looking to establish operations in Ireland for over two years now, but it has not been easy to find the perfect firm to partner with.

"The dynamic performance and impressive growth displayed by McMahon McKay caught our attention last year and our discussions have proceeded reassuringly quickly to where we are today."
