KPMG donate over £7,500 to Manx Cancer Help

Following a busy year of fundraising, KPMG has announced the donation of £7,674.01 to its chosen charity of the year 2011/12, Manx Cancer Help.

The impressive total is the result of hundreds of accumulated man-hours donated by KPMG colleagues as well as the generosity and enthusiasm of the Manx public, which has been vital to supporting the firm’s philanthropic efforts.

This year’s initiative also puts KPMG colleagues in good stead to continue in their annual charitable mission, with Rebecca House being nominated as KPMG’s chosen Charity of the Year 2012/13.

The past 12 months have seen KPMG colleagues embark upon a series of events in aid of Manx Cancer Help with the aim of raising awareness of its goals as well as supporting the charity as it relocates to its new premises in Braddan.

Fundraising initiatives have included the Bark at Ballanette sponsored dog walk, entering a sponsored KPMG team into the Parish Walk and fundraising galas.

Some of the other initiatives KPMG has taken part in throughout 2012 to benefit local charities include Hospice Midnight Walk, Movember, Cancer Research Relay, Jeans for Genes, Age Concern Christmas Hampers, a dress down day for AZIZ, a dress down day for Manx Blind welfare, a fun day for Pumps for Kids and wine tasting session at the Sayle Gallery for KPMG colleagues, friends and alumni to benefit SCBU, Craigs Heartstrong Foundation and Hospice.
