KPMG releases findings of global report

More than 1,000 CEOs surveyed

The findings of a global report is providing valuable insights for Island-based businesses, according to a local accountancy firm.

KPMG has published the findings of its annual CEO confidence survey.

One thousand three hundred CEOs were surveyed, with the report showing an overall confidence in the economy.

Results showed 72 per cent of top chief executives believe the next three years could prove more instrumental to their industry than the previous 50 years - although majority are confident of growth prospects.

The biggest challenges facing the industry were marked as customer loyalty, the volatility of the global economy on business and cybercrime.

More than two thirds of those surveyed admitted they believe their firm is not fully prepared in the event of a cyber attack.

On a more positive note, 99 per cent of CEOs interviewed said they were taking action to develop future and existing talent, with majority expecting to increase employment over the next three years.
