Gift card scheme launched to support hospitality sector after Covid
If you have any unused Love IOM cards, today is your last day to use them.
The hospitality gift cards were launched to encourage people to support the Island's pubs and restaurants following Covid lockdowns.
Government spent more than £180,000 on the initiative, with £67,000 uploaded to the cards in the first seven months.
As of 1 July this year, almost £226,000 had been added to the cards, with £38,000 left to be spent.
More than 5,400 cards have been sold, with 77 merchants having signed up to the scheme.
The initiative was originally launched as a five-year project in September 2021, but government confirmed in July last year that the scheme was being scrapped.
