GlowLab Organics granted the licence
An Isle of Man-based company has been given permission to grow medicinal cannabis.
GrowLab Organics (GLO) is the first business that's been offered a conditional medicinal cannabis licence for export on the Island.
It was granted by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.
In a statement, Enterprise Minister, Tim Crookall says this move represents the dawn of a new economic sector which will drive economic diversification and stimulate job and training opportunities for Manx workers.
He added he is optimistic that this will play a key part in the Island's economic future.
