Local labour laws highlighted

Industrial Relations Officer to explain changes

The impact of new laws governing employment in the Isle of Man will be highlighted at an event next month.

With the Equality Act and General Data Protection Regulations set to come into force, employers and employees are being urged to make sure they know what the changes will mean for them.

Douglas-based law firm M&P Legal is hosting an event outlining the implications of the new legislation.

Manx Industrial Relations Officer Julie Bradley will be the guest speaker at the seminar, which takes place on 19 June.

The audience will also hear contributions from the Isle of Man's newly appointed Equality Advisor Dawn Kinnish, and M&P Legal advocates John Aycock and Chris Brooks.

The half-day seminar takes place in the Cushag Suite at the Palace Hotel, starting at 9am.

Those who would like to go along can book a place by emailing seb@mplegal.im, telephoning Sandra Burrows on 695800, or visiting mplegal.im.
