Chief Minister Tony Brown and Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney have been guests at a dinner for British business leaders, hosted by the Lord Mayor of London.
It follows the highly complementary remarks made by Alderman David Lewis (pictured) in a visit to the Isle of Man at the end of last year.
Guests at the dinner, including senior figures from British industry and the City, and 2007 Queen’s Awards winners, heard speeches from the Lord Mayor and from guest speaker John Hutton, the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
Local Government and Environment Minister John Shimmin has been in South Korea for the inauguration of the new president, and the absence from the Island of three ministers led to this week's Council of Ministers being cancelled.
