Kitchen firm serves-up sponsorship
Kitchen retailer Magnet has been announced as the gold sponsor of this year's Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.
The tie-up will see the firm, based at Head Road in Douglas, provide equipment for demonstrations by celebrity chef Gareth Wyn Jones during the two day event, 17 - 18 September.
The kitchen will also be used for the Isle of Man Chef of the Year and Student Chef competitions.
Magnet has traded on the Island for more than 40 years, designing and selling kitchens for trade and retail markets.
The festival is to be run in association with Manx Radio, which will broadcast live from the Villa Marina Gardens, promoting its local focus campaign.
Last year's festival attracted more than 7000 visitors over two days.
It is a major part of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture's Food Matters strategy, growing the value of the Manx food and drink industry by £50 million over the next decade.
Director at Magnet (IOM) Ltd Steve Farrell said: 'Magnet is delighted to be involved with the festival, the Island's premier celebration of local food and drink.
