Equality Act will affect market, says Blenkinsop
Manx Gas has appointed its first human resources manager.
Douglas resident Lindsey Blenkinsop has held senior HR roles with both Zurich and the government, where she worked for 13 years.
She says the full impact of the Equality Act, which comes into effect in the Island this year, will present some major challenges as well as opportunities in the employment sector.
She adds that the act is a major step forward for the Isle of Man from an employment point of view.
Mrs Blenkinsop goes on to say being the first HR manager for Manx Gas is certainly a challenge but in the short time she has been in the role, she can see the value it will add to the business.
