Range of local producers scoop UK accolades
No less than 26 local food and drink producers have been honoured in the annual Great Taste Awards.
The prizes, which recognise delicacies from all over Great Britain and are billed as the 'Oscars' of eating, were handed out to a record number of Manx suppliers - more than twice of that in 2015.
A panel of critics, chefs and restauranteurs rigorously tasted over 10,000 products over 35 categories.
The Manx Cider Co., Roots Beverage Company, Paddy's Hooked on Fish, Isle of Man Creamery, Noa Bakehouse and the Hooded Ram Brewery were among the worthy winners.
Some of them will be hoping for a spot on the Guild of Fine Food's Top 50 list, to be released next month.
