House of Lords investigation reportedly underway
A Tory peer, who lives in the Isle of Man, is being investigated by the House of Lords commissioner for standards.
Baroness Michelle Mone, who is married to billionaire Manx resident Doug Barrowman, is facing an official probe into her alleged involvement with PPE Medpro.
The firm won UK Government contracts worth around £200 million pounds via an alleged unlawful 'VIP lane'.
She's reportedly denied any association with the company which she allegedly recommended to the UK's Cabinet Office as a potential supplier to the NHS in May 2020.
Lady Mone was referred to the commissioner by Labour peer George Foulkes and now faces investigation under the Lords' code of conduct.
The peer claims that Mone failed to fully disclose her business interests in PPE Medpro, which could mean she had breached the rules of lobbying by referring the company to the UK Government.
