Community for creative minds to collaborate
Marketing professionals from the public and private sectors have formed a new networking group, for debate and collaboration.
More than 70 people working in marketing, PR, promotion, business development and sales recently attended the inaugural Isle of Man Marketing Community event at the Manx Museum.
Sponsored by Tromode-based Home Strategic, members heard a presentation by interim CEO at the Department of Economic Development Mark Lewin, who outlined proposals for an executive agency model under a restyled Department for Enterprise.
The audience brainstormed how the four proposed agencies could work together to benefit the Manx economy.
The Marketing Community steering group's Voirrey Barron said the event had proved an ideal launch platform.
She added: "The Isle of Man Marketing Community is a group of like-minded people working in marketing from the private and public sector, agency and client side, dedicated to marketing and formalising the already close networks many of us have with each other."
"Ultimately we hope we can encourage this group to collaborate, communicate, and inspire to facilitate a better environment for marketers and marketing in the Isle of Man."
