MEA and Max Gas winners in Excellence Awards

 

The Island's two power utilities were named winners in last night's Awards for Excellence.

Manx Gas won the title Company of the Year while the Manx Electricity Authority was the winner in the Public Sector Achievement category.

The Isle of Man Newspapers annual accolades also saw Chris Gledhill of software development firm PDMS named Business Person of the Year.

The Family Library which faced closure after losing its government funding, has since found  a new lease of life with private sector backers.

At the Villa Marina awards ceremony (21 Nov) the library won the award for Medium Enterprise of the Year. 

The award for Corporate Social Responsibility went to PokerStars which has recently announced its support for the drugs advice service DASH, while Derek Peters was named Volunteer of the Year.
