Officials at Sure Mobile see the introduction of Mobile Number Portabiltiy as a major milestone in the competition for telecommunications business in the Isle of Man.
Country Manager Mike Stanton was speaking after yesterday's launch of MNP, which allows users to keep their old number when they switch from one mobile phone provider to another.
Mr Stanton says Sure will have to do all it can to hold onto its customers:
