Manx Lottery Trust donates funds to tackle domestic abuse
Nearly £130,000 is being put forward to tackle domestic abuse on the Island.
The Manx Lottery Trust is awarding the funds to Victim Support.
The charity says between 50-60% of the work it does is related to domestic abuse - but with this donation it hopes to take major strides forward tackling the issue.
It's part of the Manx Lottery Trust's 2018-19 Thematic Funding, and is gifting a total of £128,400.
This grant is to be used over three years and will fund a project worker over that time.
The appointment of which will be made in the next few weeks.
