Panama Papers leak partly behind the decision
The company at the centre of the Panama Papers leak it to close its Manx operation.
Mossack Fonseca says it’ll close its offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Gibraltar – it’s based in Athol Street here.
It says the leak of 10 million documents is partly behind its decision, which it says is also part of a move to consolidate its branch network.
It’s thanked staff for what it describes as "loyal and sterling" service, and adds the closures are a matter of “great regret”.
