First time for station's sales staff
The Manx Radio sales team has been nominated in the Arqiva 2016 awards for commercial radio station.
It's the first time the station's sales operation has been nominated for such an accolade.
The team operates in a small-for-industry total survey area (TSA) of 72,000 and in 2013 embarked on an ambitious plan to grow its advertising market share on the Isle of Man.
In order to achieve their target, a new range of off and on-air products was designed to promote local businesses effectively - and affordably.
Branded under the SMART banner (Sales, Marketing and Radio Toolkit) the team grew revenues during the period of the award by 12.5%.
Business Director John Marsom says the nomination is testament to all the effort and determination put in by the team - and is the icing on the cake to a perfect sales year.
The winners of Arqiva local sales team of the year will be announced on 17 May.
