Manx Telecom has launched its new ultrafast broadband service.
Called Ultima, it'll offer download speeds of up to 40 megabits per second.
Based on VDSL technology, installed at Manx Telecom exchanges across the Island at a cost of around £500,000, the technology's also available to other local internet service providers in the Island.
MT says the higher capacity broadband available through Ultima will allow users to access smartphones, iPads, games consoles, laptops and internet-enabled TVs at the same time.
It's available on lines up to two kilometres from a Manx Telecom exchange - it's expected to reach around 50 per cent of Island homes and businesses who will pay an additional monthly line rental of £9.
