Manx Telecom has launched a huge new datacentre in Douglas.
The £10 million Greenhill Data Centre on the Isle of Man Business Park in Braddan is just along the road from the company’s headquarters.
The centre has been welcomed by Economic Development Minister John Shimmin who says it illustrates how the private sector is supporting Government’s efforts to grow the Island’s economy in a dynamic and sustainable way.
Speaking at the launch Stuart Paul, the company’s data centres director said that in the few minutes it took him to give his speech, MT's data centres would process transactions worth 7 million dollars.
And he says the new Greenhill Centre is an incredibly robust facility
