New blood fills senior role
Manx Telecom has recruited a new chief financial officer from Virgin Media, filling a role which has been staffed on an interim basis for the past six months.
Danny Bakhshi, who has 25 years of experience in the telecoms industry, joins MT from 1 February 2016.
Mr Bakhshi has been executive commercial director at Virgin Media and previously held roles at Vodaphone Global Enterprise Services and the firm's Africa operation. He worked his way up the industry in various finance roles at British Telecom.
Paul Tierney has been interim CFO since Gary Lamb moved from the position to become Manx Telecom CEO in July.
Mr Bakhshi says the company already benefits from well invested, reliable existing infrastructure, a highly experienced workforce and a really strong management team.
He says its reputation for service and innovation is well known in the sector but what is also clear to him is the real potential for growth inside the business, both on and off-Island.
