New director at KPMG

Clients, staff, family and friends of KPMG gathered for drinks at the British Embassy recently to celebrate Nick Quayle’s appointment to director at the firm.

The promotion is the latest step for Nick in a career that Managing Director David McGarry said reflected the firm’s priority to recruit and develop “home grown” talent.

Nick, who was educated at Ramsey Grammar School, joined KPMG as a graduate in 1997.

Since then, he has juggled secondments to the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission and KPMG Ireland with a steadily increasing portfolio of responsibilities, which saw him reach manager in 2002, senior manager in 2006 and associate director in 2010.

Speaking at the drinks reception, Managing Director David McGarry said, “Nick is a perfect example of the value to be found in cultivating home grown talent.

"He has been with the firm for 16 years and has contributed an enormous amount in that time, leading audit and advisory engagements with great success since his last promotion.

"We welcome him onto the board as a director, and stand here today to thank him for his service so far and the great things we will continue to expect from him in the future.”
