The new Director of the Communications Commission will take up her post next month, with the digital challenge very much on her mind.
Dr Carmel McLaughlin (pictured) takes over from Anthony Hewitt who has retired.
The Isle of Man is due to switch from analogue to digital next year and Dr McLaughlin says the fact it has spearheaded developments in recent years attracted her to the job:
