New minibus for Ballacottier – thanks to Royal London 360°

Royal London 360° has helped an Island primary school buy a new minibus.

Pupils who attend the ‘Rainbow Room’ at Ballacottier in Farmhill, Douglas, will benefit from the 17-seater Vauxhall Movano minibus, which will be used to transport them to activities outside of school.

These include taking children to swimming lessons, their weekly classes with Riding for the Disabled, and trips to cafes where they learn about socially acceptable behavior and interaction.

Seats can be added or taken out of the minibus depending on how many pupils are travelling with wheelchairs.

Royal London 360° has donated £500 towards the bus, alongside a number of other Island companies.

Natalie Dutton, head of marketing at Royal London 360°, said: ‘This vehicle really is a necessity for pupils of the Rainbow Room at Ballacottier School and we are only too delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile project.

‘I know the children will get a lot of use from the minibus and the activities it will allow them to take part in will really benefit their education and social development.’
