Thirty exhibitors have so far been confirmed for 'Energy Expo 08', to be held at the Villa Marina from February 21 to 23.
At the same time, Juan Turner MLC has been handed the energy policy role at the Department of Trade and Industry.
The DTI is the so called 'lead department' on the government’s energy policy and has been co-ordinating a cross-government working group developing the Island’s energy strategy.
Its aim is 'to ensure the Isle of Man can respond to the challenges of today and tomorrow'.
Mr Turner (pictured) will chair the group, and will lead the preparations for 'Energy Expo 08', the annual energy efficiency event.
Businesses and members of the public are being encouraged to attend, and find solutions to help them reduce both their energy costs and environmental emissions.
