New sponsor for ACSP seminar series

Island law firm Dougherty Quinn is the new sponsor of a seminar programme aimed at professionals in the Island's CSP sector.

The agreement will cover a series of lunchtime seminars offered by the Association of Corporate Service Providers, starting next month with a talk by the Financial Supervision Commission's Paul de Weerd covering the FSC's new rule book and latest trust guidelines.

ACSP chairman Mark Denton has welcomed the association's new partnership with DQ and acknowledged the support of previous sponsor Barclays.

Managing director at Dougherty Quinn Tom Maher said: "The ACSP performs a superb role in educating and supporting its members and flying the flag for Isle of Man plc."

He added: "DQ acts as principal legal adviser to many of the Island's fiduciaries advising on corporate, trust, regulatory and contentious matters. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the ACSP and its member firms."

The first DQ-sponsored session on 7 February will be at the Upper Hall, Loch Promenade Methodist Church, Douglas, at 12 noon.
